Bruce Continues to Travel Beyond the Ages...

I first saw him when I was 15 years old, a friend camped out to get tickets. Now all these years later (over 30) The Boss still has it. This video is beautiful. Bruce is a true American Poet. Because of his gift of crafting lyrics that strip away all pretense and reach the very heart, his music has touched my life in many ways. In this video, he is of course singing about a washed up wrestler, but the song is written for the times we live in. The American flag that is in the background hints at the state we find ourselves in now. Anyone else feeling beat up by the war, the economy, and the division besides me? Also, I have to say this song reminds me of the journey Christ took. We all wish to be resurrected as something better. Thank you Bruce for this amazing song and now the video!!!

you need it.

It makes one wonder-- when might Bruce's movie be coming out? His ability to capture a wide emotional range with such slight change in nuance is phenomenal. If you loved the movie or love Springsteen it is well worth your $2.00 to see this calloused yet sensitive appearing character he portrays and hear what this song meant to him as he wrote it.
