Absolute Triumph!

I can understand why some Maiden would hate this album. We've gotten used to Bruce's singing style and his presence in the band. But Blaze is INCREDIBLE! I don't think Bruce is better than Blaze. They just have different styles of singing. I was reluctant to listen to this album (and Virtual XI) but I said "What the hell. Why not?" and just gave it a listen. It Blew My Mind. It has been a month since I first listened to this album and I'm still bouncing against the walls. Personally, I like this album more than "No Prayer for the Dying", "Fear of the Dark", and "Brave New World" (but that's just my opinion).

Very good

This was a lot better than I thought it would have. This singer doesn't sing as good as Bruce but it's still very good.

disgustingly underated ablum

This is one of maidens best albums, and most fanboys are too blind to see that just because this album doesn't have Bruce. Blaze does well in this album. Besides, it was a major comeback from the past two albums, and the best since seventh son. It begins with sign of the cross, a heavy and dark opener also one of maidens best songs. Even though the Rock in Rio performace was better, this version is no less enjoyable or epic. Lord of the Flies is another epic and heavey song, and i must say nice job Janick and Harris, this is one of maidens most rock'n songs and it never dissapoints. Man on the edge is a sort of speed metal song based off the movie "Falling Down". It's not the best song on the album, but it's defenatly worth listening to. Fortunes of war might be be the best song on the album, it's epic, heavy, and got JJanick's amazing guitar work. Look for the truth has an introduction similar to the one of fortunes of war, it's another heavy track with exelent vocals and amazing solo. The aftermath starts with a gloomy intro, and becomes a stady solid rocker, not one of my faves, but worth a listen. Judgment of heaven would've been perfect if the bass intro wasn't so happy but other than that it's an amazing track. Blood on the world's hands starts out with an amazing bass solo and has a proggressive like verse riff. Edge of darkness nis my fav of the album. The intro is dark and gloomy, and the rest is rust hard and heavy. 2am is a bit boring and kind off cheesy, but it's not bad. Unbeliever isn't bad either but it's not that memorable.

Biography

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Known for such powerful hits as "Two Minutes to Midnight" and "The Trooper," Iron Maiden were and are one of the most influential bands of the heavy metal genre. The often-imitated band has existed for over nearly four decades, pumping out wild rock similar to Judas Priest. Iron Maiden have always been an underground attraction; although failing to ever obtain any real media attention in the U.S. (critics claimed them to be Satanists due to their dark musical themes and their use of grim mascot "Eddie"),...
