I employ Kent's 'Zen Effect' for both creative / mediative ambience.... inspiring, insulating, but not invasive.
Greatest cure for writer's block, ever.
I can't express how excited I am to have found this! For years, I've been looking for music that eliminates silence but doesn't distract me from the task at hand. Not only do these tracks do that -- they actually HELP me focus! I can write better, I can read faster and retain more information, and (best of all, I think) they're an amazing jump-starter for writing music -- because you can actually play piano/guitar over the tracks. I put this on when I'm grading papers, I put it on when I'm sitting in traffic, I put it on when I can't sleep... it's seriously amazing. Highly recommend!
