In a word, sublime
This was a magical time for underground pop music. The word "indie pop" actually had substantial meaning back then. Not to sound like an old codger, but this kind of music was not spoonfed to you. I was introduced to Heavenly and The Harvest Ministers back in high school and in turn researched more music like it. It inevitably led me to the Sarah label. Hearing these Sarah compilations was like falling in love all over again. Here are pristinely crafted pop gems guaranteed to please. Also check out the other Sarah comps "Air Balloon Road," "Battery Point," and "Fountain Island."
NOSTALGIA, AT IT
I completley agree with the above statement it was a time when you had to do your homework and search out these fine bands on this gorgeous label "SARAH". If you own the actual cd's and 7" inches then the memories are twice as nice, but for the new generation I'm happy they are on i-tunes this way the groups get more of an exposure and deserved recognition.
Sarah Records, gone but not forgotten...
Sarah Records is one of those labels that remains true and original. This was such a great pocket of time and songs like these takes you back. One of my favorite labels indeed!
