From its song topics to arrangement choices, There’s More Where That Came From invokes the ambiance of 1970s country. Lee Ann Womack ventured this way before, though hits like “I Hope You Dance” nudged her in an adult pop direction. Here, she’s decidedly gone Old School Nashville, moving to leisurely tempos and wrapping herself in keening fiddles and mournful pedal steel guitars. Fortunately, she doesn’t recreate the country stylings of the Me Decade so much as find relevance in the best aspects of the era. Tunes like “I May Hate Myself In The Morning” and “Twenty Years And Two Husbands Ago” find Womack exploring classic country themes with a bedrock honesty and a survivor’s spirit. “When You Get To Me” lets her cut loose for a guitar-driven workout. More typical, though, are tear-stained reflections like “Painless” or the title tune. “Stubborn (Psalm 151)” closes the album with a touch of romantic grandeur. Womack’s Southern Everywoman warmth and aura of self-reliance comes through in these tracks. While not a radical departure, There’s More Where That Came From eases her away from standard-issue country hit-making and towards something more uniquely her own.

Everyone Take Note: This Is How a Country Album is Done!
This is her best work to date. It's an incredible album! Every note of every song is amazing. I really like the retro vibe it has. "Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago" is particulary awesome. It's like Lee Ann channeled the spirit of Tammy Wynette. Lee Ann deserves every award that will surely come her way for this project. Everyone else in the industry should take note. This is how a country album is done!
Painless to listen to!
OMG! What an album the great Lee Ann Womack has recorded! It has every little bit of Lee Ann Womack in each song she sings. You feel as if you were there when she talks about her past loves and her new ones. To start with, the must buys on this magnificent album is "I May Hate Myself In The Morning" "The Last Time" "He Oughta Know That By Now" "Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago" "What I Miss About Heaven." You can watch the music videos for "I May Hate Myself In The Mornning" and "Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago", both really good videos, especially "Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago." "The Last Time" is a perfect song to listen to when you feel like taking a walk down memory lane in your love life. Thinking about "the one that got away." "What I Miss About Heaven" is really the suprise song on her album, because every other song is kinda slow and easy-listening but this song makes you want to get up and 2 step with anyone. Other songs I recommend: "There's More Where That Came From" "One's A Couple" "Happiness" "When You Get To Me" and "Waiting For The Sun To Shine." No matter what you buy don't forget... with "happiness" "there's always more where that came from" "when you get to me." Enjoy, I know you will.
Country music at its best
Has the world gone totally insane, is it wobbling off it's freakin' axis? This album should have won every award in the country music field when it came out.
