Album Review

This Las Vegas quintet's initial claim to fame was winning a radio station contest and earning a slot opening for My Chemical Romance and Alkaline Trio. They've subsequently attracted an ever-expanding following due to their notoriously engaging live show. Listening to their debut five-song EP, it's easy to hear how their energetic brand of screamo might get Hot Topic teens all hot and bothered in a testosterone-fueled mosh pit. The ferocious drumming of Robert Ortiz drives the opening "Dragging Dead Bodies in Blue Bags Up Really Long Hills" with an invigorating rush of adrenaline. They switch things up on "The Ransom," slowing down the tempo a bit for a song that wouldn't sound out of place on the soundtrack of a Fast and the Furious flick. These guys certainly rock hard enough to get your average Warped Tour audience riled up to a fierce frenzy.

Pure Wow-ness

mkay. before i start, id just like to state that everything i say here, just about applies to the band in general, and their other album, but this is generally the album i have more absolute favs from. i wanna make this short and sweet and to the point. if i was forced to pick something bad out about this band, i would have a seizure, and run, very far away and never come back. because honestly, these guys are just amazing. my personal favorite songs are There's No sympathy for the dead and the guillotine, because tehy're just mindbendingly amazing. but buy the whole album, or else you'll regret it greatly :D

<3

Can It get any better than this?

these are five of my favorite songs right here. "the ransom" is my most favorite. anyway, buy this if you have a single musical bone in your body. :P

Appearing amid the fertile screamo scene of the 2000s, the Las Vegas quintet Escape the Fate prided itself, above all else, on an energetic and visceral live show. The band's formation was propelled in part by MySpace, which vocalist Ronnie Radke and bassist Max Green utilized while searching for new bandmembers after their previous group's demise. The networking site allowed them to recruit guitarist Bryan Money, who subsequently brought along Vegas transplant (and former Lovehatehero guitarist)...
