Rod is Back!
After Slash's Snakepit, I thought this man was gone for good.....turns out I was wrong, and what a great surprise this was! His voice is a perfect fit for grimy rock as well as the blues. I wasn't disappointed making my purchase of this album-he "still" has it. If you like Rod's vocals here, you should definitely check out Slash's Snakepit's "Ain't Life Grand" album as well.

Rod Jackson has one of the most amazing voices in the industry. Check this album out, you will not be disappointed!! Listen to "Falling In Love Again"...you will be hooked!!
Rod Jackson delivers!
This is a really, really good CD. Not as hard rock as Snakepit's Ain't Life Grand, but very good in a different kind of way. There are great songs throughout, but the mellower tunes stand out especially. Falling In Love Again is just amazing... Hayward Blues has a Film Noir-esque vibe to it... Springtime Rain is another stand-out track and Pawnshop For The Stars is a great, wistful song.
By My Side is a good, up-tempo album opener and I Want To Love You is just a fun number. All in all Rod Jackson, the singer here and former member of Slash's Snakepit, shows how versatile he really is. His voice is like another instrument. Thank God for 3 Of A Different Kind, because this man is too good to not be doing something.
Buy this CD and play it for a week or so... you will find yourself returning to it over and over.
