Album Review

With a sweeping alt-rock sound that evokes a guitar-heavy version of Coldplay, SafetySuit deftly bounce back from a seemingly endless string of delays to release their second album, These Times. The album finds the band taking a more spacious approach to the genre, surrounding their heartfelt, midtempo jams in a warm blanket of reverb and keyboards, giving them a real sense of depth. These atmospheric flourishes do a lot to keep the songs interesting, giving listeners a lot of sonic space to explore as the band muses about matters of the heart and making These Times an album that should convince fans that the wait was worth it.

Customer Reviews

Uh ok

It's alright, not the greatest!

If you like this song, you'll love the whole album!

"These Times" is a wonderful album. I would recommend it to fans of The Fray, The Script, Goo Goo Dolls, etc. It's a great album for easy-listening and deep-thinking. The single "These Times" is perfectly timed for the struggles the world has seen at the moment. With lyrics consisting of
"These times will try hard to define me
But I will hold my head up high," this song is very "For The First Time"-esque.

Generic and Boring

No musical complexity, the voice sounds really tuned, Poor lyrics and it sounds like every other song on the radio. First Single of the Week that i havn't liked in a long time.

Originally known as Crew, singer/guitarist Doug Brown, drummer Tate Cunningham, and bassist Jeremy Henshaw (with two other members in the ranks at the time) first came to prominence in their Oklahoma hometown after winning a talent show...
