A must have for Post-rockers
This album is as good a post-rock album as I've heard, and is well, well worth the purchase. Music styling is heavily influenced by an "Explosions in the Sky" like sound with vocals that border Sigur Ros. Make no mistake though, these guys have a sound and perspective all their own. Haunting piano lines, string swells and subtle horns compliment their style in a uniqe way and keep this album fresh from start to end.
Epic beauty
I defy you to find a song that more immediately captures your attention, and then your heart and soul, than the opening song to this instant classic of an album. I fell in love with this band the first time I heard them, and anytime I need to relax and listen to something beautiful, I put on "Under Your Wings I'll Hide" or "In Valleys." So very highly recommended...
Unbelievably beautiful
The most beautiful post-rock I've heard in a while, even compared to the famous Explosions in the Sky. The music of Immanu El is very touching and the soft, high-pitched vocals add that quality. Simply put this album is a must-have for fans of melodic post-rock.
