Customer Reviews

If you loved that one & only RH Capital album, this is the grail!

Randy had been known in the late 70's around the S-frisco area. He was involved in the soundtrack of Apocolypse Now (listen to the Hendrix guitar during the "who's in charge here solider" / "aint you"). On the strength of that performance, he rec'd a one-off deal with Capital. The problem was sub-par production. If you can imagine an album sounding like a hissy 8-track (really!). Sadly, Randy was dismissed (like Trower & Marino) as a Hendrix clone. If by some miracle that album ever appears on Itunes, check it out. It all sounds a bit dated now but there were some really great guitar moments that deserve a close listen. Randy was relegated to bars, fests & has seemingly come to terms with being pegged as a Hendrix clone. He's (I believe) living in Germany now according to his website....go figure. So, that brings us to this CD. It was available for awhile via the original owner/distributor. Comprised of demos & jams, I'd have to say its primarily for fans of that first & only Capital LP. A little rough around the edges, a little sketchy quality wise, again this reeks of "hey I was looking in my closet and I found this tape". No matter, if your a fan of Randy, ck it out! Good luck!

Hey Ramdy

I had the honor of knowing Randy years ago. Nice to see his music here. Sounds Great!

Randy Hansen Thinking of You

When I first heard Randy Hansen back in the day, he did an awsome cover of Sly and the Family Stone's "I Wanna Take You Higher". Without it, any Randy Hansen collection is mediocre.
