Album Review
This Could Be a Possibility is the slick, well-crafted debut from melodic rockers Valencia. Though only their first proper disc, this young band already seems to know exactly what it's doing: the choruses soar, the guitars crunch and harmonize when needed, and each song is filled with enough poppy hooks to make a band like Saves the Day nod in approval. The topics of their earnest, fresh-faced songs about love, life, and growing up are easily identifiable to any starry-eyed, heartbroken, or uncertain teen, yet they won't alienate older, jaded listeners. Urgent drumbeats open "The Space Between," a rousing ode to long-distance love that features longing lyrics like "Can you remember sitting by my side/On the bank of the Delaware River and talking about life." And yes, Valencia may be a part of those "born in a generation of bright lights but no inspiration" ("Backs Against the Wall"), but lines such as "One thing I know/I'll be fine/This is just the story of my life" from the guitar-driven, anthem-like "Will We Ever Know How?" hint at a positivist attitude that permeates the whole album. Each energetic song is well produced and catchy enough, but what sets this quintet apart from the emo pack is the voice of lead vocalist Shane Henderson; he croons with an urgent smoothness that comes as a break from the often whiny vocals of many of his peers. While not a vast departure from the popular scene — but then again, not all albums need to be — Valencia has served up a solid, unpretentious offering to enjoy without shame.

Excellent Return On Investment
Valencia rocks, plain and simple. Whether you are from the Philadelphia area or not, Valencia produces some of the most robust and refreshing lyrics and sound you'll hear on the punk/pop scene today. It's loud, it's heartfelt in places and it's downright fun. You'll find yourself addicted to "The Space Between" and "Tenth Street", especially if you hail from the Delaware Valley. Do yourself a favor and download this album; it'll make your night.
Great Album
I saw these guys live a few weeks ago with ATL and HTL. I would have to say before the concert I only liked a few of their songs and didn't think much of them. Now that I've seen them live, all i can say is WOW. They blew me away. Every song was crystal clear and it sounded great. 1. The Space Between - 10/10 - Perfect starter. My favorite song on the album. 2. Que Sera Sera - 8/10 - Its heavy and takes a little to get used to but is a good tune. 3. What Are You Doing, Man? That's Weird - 8/10 - Same with Que Sera Sera 4. Tenth Street - 9/10 - Great song, original sound. Doesn't sound like every other pop-punk song out there. 5. The Closest I Am to Living Life On The Edge - 8/10 - Plain and Simple song. Its good though. 6. Will We Ever Know How - 10/10 - Great song. Amazing chorus. 7. Eagle Mount Drive - 9/10 - Pretty good song, could use a better chorus though. 8. 3000 Miles - 10/10 - Outstanding. Blast this song as loud as you can. 9. Backs Against the Wall - 10/10 - Same with 3000 Miles 10. Away We Go - 10/10 - Great closer.
Valencia is for those emo and rock kiddies.
Valencia is an awesome group that has a familiar, but equally new sound. Their songs relay a point to the listener and they're new, so if you're not 100% satisfied, give them a chance. The song " The Space Between" is great with a strong opening and great vocals. The guitar riffs are heavyand fast and the drum and bass line are present, but never the focus point. If you're into just a good band to listen to, and enjoy. In the song "what are you doing man" that's weird the opening is a strong, fast guitar part followed by awesome vocals and some bass. over all this CD is great and just about every song has a point and will get the listener looking stupid while headbanging =]
