Funny as H-E-Double Hockey Sticks!
You know... you take something that's great and already funny on its own... the whole joke with Tenacious D is the constant emulation of Metal's golden years and most characteristic sounds... The vocals, the guitars... So you take that and transmogrify it with bluegrass and it becomes absurd--but just as Tenacious D made funny music, but were serious about the actual music they made--the bluegrass is also done true to form. That's why this album works... Listen to F**k Her Gently and Tribute, then figure out if you'll laugh once or twice while catching your toes tapping or whatever it is you do to bluegrass... I did. And yes, I'm a total tard.
I should rate this as zero
o hope that everyone in this bluegrass band will burn in hell for what they have done, the almighty D should not be shuned with such... suckage F*** all of you
