Steven Strait is my God
Even though this movie is questionable, this CD is pretty good. Steven Strait has a deep, velvety, comforting, somewhat haunting voice that makes up for the (somewhat) lackluster lyrics. My ears ache for him when i'm not listening to these songs. This soundtrack has a really great combination of mellower tracks (Smart in a Stupid Way and Half Lit are two of my favorites) paired happier, upbeat ones (Jungle Love is an AWESOME song). Another plus: no Ashlee Simpson! The girl who sings her parts (Jen Crowe)is paired really well with Steven Strait; i really like the way their voices mingle and cooperate (esp. on Smart in a Stupid Way).
WHERE'S ASHLEE?!
This Jen Crowe girl does a HORRIBLE job singing ashlee's vocals! They should have kept Ashlee on the soundtrack!!! Grr!
Undiscovered
The movie isn't bad. No cussing, no nudity, no violence. Steven Strait has a voice and undeniable sexiness that made me want to keep watching the movie and definitely buy some of his songs.
