THIS IS THEIR YEAR
Holiday Parade is definitely off to an AMAZING start with the great work they've done. This Is My Year, is a great EP that most record companies should enjoy. Crimson Red includes a special guest appearance by Will Pugh in Cartel. Never Enough is another great one, and My Philosophy is good for easy listening. Walking By is a new song that Andy Albert has acoustics on. Driving Away is a remix off of their Demo cd. This is another best buy that every junior high and high school kid should have on their ipod. but they offer the best of both worlds, so adults, why not get yourself one? It is apparent that the boys have a good time making music. Andy, Rohan, and Michael are oustanding musicians (and vocalists), who need to be discovered by many more people!!
All Grown Up
From their self produced "Two Cheers for Tuesday" to their newest release "This is My Year," Holiday Parade have really emerged as a distinct band in the pop rock circuit. While you can hear influences from other bands such as Cartel (who's lead singer has a cameo in Crimson Red) and even Oasis, you can't quite put your finger on who they sound like. Holiday Parade's distinct blend of acoustic guitars with the light hearted, get up and dance feel combine for a perfect summer EP. This band is quickly going places and I would not be surprised to start seeing them on magazine covers in the near future.
The Next Big Thing
Just listen to their songs. I have seen so many bands live, and when they came to my town to sing (Rochester) they blew me away, LIVE. He sounds just as crisp live on the CD. Besides that, their excellent performers and the CD holds a quality to it that you can't find on many uprising artists. Firstly, their music has a majestic quality to it, and it sucks you into it. It's honestly the most uplifting rock music I've heard in a long time. Secondly, their harmonization is flawless and have a 3-way pattern to harmonizing. It adds so much more to the music. Also, their lyrics are beautiful and not redundant to other bands. The lyrics are worth just purchasing themselves and reading. Lastly, they offer something different to music. Their a very unique band, and the acoustic guitar that the lead singer plays gives a mellow quality to an alternative band. They fit into many genres, and are difficult to put into one: Rock, Alternative, Pop, Rock Pop, Indie, etc. Live or not, the CD reflects this band perfectly. Really, this band will take over before we know it.
