This Place
This CD is a sweet one. It softens up my heart immediately as I listen to songs about a sweet baby boy named Deacon, and a wedding, and a longing for a home once lived in. Ellie writes thoughtful songs that get into your head and tend you make your day a little more joyful. "I Can't Sleep" is a great song that prompts my mind to wander to this girl I'm dating right now. With lines like, "when you leave you take the best of me with you, I can see now all the worst cliches are true" and "I can't get anything done, and I can't come out of this sorrow, since you've been gone," Ellie's got me longing for this girl... and that's a good thing :)
Great Album!
Ellie has done a great job with this recording. It's one of my favorites right now. The songs are well written, thoughtful and memorable and her voice is like none other!
