Through the Noise, Through The Night
So glad I heard about this artist. This record is so good from the production to the songs to his incredible voice. It's like a cross between the best of Ryan Adams and the best of Damien Rice with a unique twist. "Too Late To Leave Her Alone" is simply a masterpiece. If that song doesn't make the hair on your arms stand up then you must not breathing! Haven't switched playlists since I downloaded this one.
Exceptional
I am a huge fan of all types of music but consider myself a true lover of music that can really speak to me, touch me, change me. Ben Glover's music does just that. His voice is incredible and rich with raw emotion. His lyrics are sincere, honest and say things you may have heard before...but are stated more poetically than you've ever heard. His music holds a tremendous amount of integrity; the songs are brilliant with beautiful and catchy melodies that prove to be "radio friendly" without losing an ounce of it's sincerity. To have that balance of commerciality AND integrity is very hard to find these days. I'd recommend this record to anyone who wants to be moved, anyone who loves lyrics that mean something, and to anyone who wants to just sit back and enjoy the music of an incredibly talented singer, songwriter, and musician. Add it to the soundtrack of your life...you won't be sorry you did!
This whole album is fantastic!
I love this entire album. I've been listening to it for the last hour trying to pick out my favorite songs to highlight and I can't even do that! They're all terrific! The musical arrangements are beautiful and the girl who's singing backup lends a gorgeous harmony. Anyone who loves Matthew Perryman Jones, Swell Season, Matt Nathanson, etc will love this. I would think those who like JOhn Mayer would love it, too.
