Classic Epic Doom Metal
One of the best offerings from these Texas-based purveyors of epic doom metal. Fans of Candlemass (from whom singer Rob Lowe, one of underground metal's greatest vocalists, now lends his pipes) or any style of dark power/prog metal should enjoy SA's style of powerful soaring vocals, minor key melodicism, melancholy atmospheres, plodding rhythms, and crushing riffage-- all arranged in lengthy but precise and varied songs. Also check out "Alone" (2006) and "Beyond the Crimson Horizon" (early 90's)

Getting their start under the name Solitude back in 1987, guitarist John Perez fronted Solitude Aeturnus' from the start as they were gigging around the Dallas, TX area before releasing their first full-length "Into the Depths of Sorrow" in 1991.
