The Best Of Its Kind - Mixed By Someone Who Understands Sound & Sleep
Before paying $9.99 for this, I listened to virtually every other rain & storm relaxation MP3 available on iTunes or Amazon.com. In many of the other recordings, the rain either sounds like static or the thunder claps are too harsh. Not this one. It is an absolutely sublime recording that captures the gentle, pitter patter of rain drops and the majestic rumble of thunder that softly approaches and recedes into the distance. Easy to fall asleep to, especially when played through a decent stereo where it is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
Just Thunderstorms - Gentle and peaceful
Summary: I have been wanting a thunderstorm track for a long time, but I had a hard time finding any without music until recently. I don't care for the new age style music they put over these things, and I really wanted JUST the storm sounds. This is exactly what I was looking for: simple steady rain and gently rolling thunder. I have downloaded other, similar tracks, but none suited my expectations the way this did. I highly recommmend it for sleeping or meditation. It is gentle, lovely, and consistent, if that makes sense. Time: You get a whole hour's worth, which is helpful if the transisition from one track to another seems like an interruption after 5, 10, 15, or even 20 minutes. I don't want my peace disturbed by anything, so the longer the track, the better. I have read other reviews describing long tracks as "boring", and I'm confused as to why that's a problem. For me, one of the big selling points is length. Sound: The rain is relaxing, and the thunder does not sound fake, which is a HUGE deal to me. I am using this to help me get to sleep, and it is perfect. At no point did I hear a loud clap of thunder to bring me out of my peacefulness, also very important to me. I am not someone who enjoys being startled. I listen to this on my iPod with Bose earbuds, and the sound quality is immaculate.
Great Ambient Sleeping Muzik
Great soothing sounds for sleep. Rain is calming, thunderstorm is, too. Works for me....
