Customer Reviews
A great follow-up to "Night"
Gazpacho set themselves a high bar with "Night", the best prog album of 2007. With "Tick Tock" they've proven that they are kings of the neo-prog movement, in my view. At times invoking the best of Hogarth-era Marillion, and the soaring vocals of Muse's front man, Gazpacho take these influences and make their own unique sound. Add to that the recurring tick-tock theme, and the middle-eastern influences, and this album becomes a finely layered masterpiece.
Amazing
It's both emotional and powerful. It's an exquisite journey to the one of the best progressive albums I've ever heard. Period.
Almost
This was almost one of the best albums I've ever listened to. And it's not that the songs aren't great--they are. I especially loved "Winter is Never." But on several of the others, I feel that they could have pushed the limits just a little bit more. I gave it 4 stars.
