The (Good) Rough Takes
These songs are the rough takes of what was to eventually become Zero Zero's second full-length album. Sadly, they broke up before they could finish them. I'm glad they are out, even in their raw form. You can hear a slight turn in direction from AM Gold....wonder what this collection would have sounded like if gone through the DFA factory. Great for any ZZ fan's collection. Good songs overall for anyone who appreciates solid pop song writing with a touch of synth/dance. Ari's voice and lyrics are beautiful and genius, Dave plays wonderfully melodic bass lines, Alex (xxxchange, Spank Rock) creates awesome beats, and Miss TK makes delicious synth melodies. Oh, and as a bonus, Dan Yemin (Lifetime, Paint It Black) plays guitar on 'Nein Nein'. Nice work!
