His Own Music

This is not like Come Again. This is Ian Thornley making his own music. There is a little bit of everything on this album from the catching loud screaming of C&C, to the slow, blues of All Falls Down to the throw back to Big Wreck days with the long, emotional charged ballets of Another Memory. If you are looking for this album to be just like Come Again you will walk away shaking your head and wondering what in the world was Thornley thinking. If you have followed Ian from the beginning you will allow this album to sink slowly into you head and end up really liking it. Expand your musical taste with this personal journey with Ian Thornley through the music he likes to play. That is what his album is. His own.

Rite on!!!

As we grow in life so does the music with us, as to say some things unfortunately get left behind. It's great to find new music from a band that made a place in my life, thanks for dropping another great album out guys, I can't believe I'm just now finding this.. As always good stuff... Cheers...

Great Music The Masses Will Probably Never Hear

This album is a nice progression from Come Again. While Come Again is a great album, I felt it had basically one sound (though good) throughout. Tiny Pictures has a wider variety of song styles, from fast rock to ballads, etc. This album leans more towards the style of Big Wreck, as Ian incorporates the use of unique instruments such as mandolin, banjo, and resonator guitar into rock song context. And as always, his vocals and melodies are top notch. Why this took over a year to be released in the U.S. is beyond me! Overall a solid effort, and fans of Big Wreck should definitely enjoy this.

Surprisingly, Thornley was led by vocalist/guitarist Ian Thornley, he of the mildly successful Boston alternative outfit Big Wreck. After the Wreck's 2002 retirement, Thornley returned to his native Toronto and began writing solo material. Nickelback's Chad Kroeger — a pal from the late '90s modern rock trenches — had just started a vanity imprint through Universal, and he promptly tapped Thornley as a signee. So, by late 2003 the singer was back in the studio, working with producer Gavin...
