Josh's best Independent Release to date!
Since Josh has been an independent artist, he has experimented with releasing songs that explore his various influences. You get your folk, your R&B, your pop and your rock all on one album. "Just Say The Word" and "Special Company" are both results of this experimentation. This new album is his biggest success in doing this, and I would call it Josh's arrival as an indie artist. It is his most cohesive release since "Almost Honest", and each song is a gem in itself. He is able to successfully express his thoughts about life with songs like "Just To Be Me" and "More Than Love", while still being playful and singing love songs with tunes like "Secret Criminal" and "Kink In the Chain." "23" is a gorgeous instrumental track that tells a story without using words. Overall, it's Josh's best CD since his first two releases and definitely a must-have for old and new Josh fans alike!!
