Perfection

These days, hip hop is tarnished. It carries a bad name soiled by likes of Lil' Wayne and Kanye West. These guys are bringing back what hip hop should be about. Passion and struggle. Grieves and Budo bring so much more to the table than any other artist out to day can even imagine doing. BUY THIS ONE. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

I've never met Grieves, have no affiliation to him and honestly, just discovered him about 6 months ago while bouncin' around the Rhymesayers site.... This guy is authentically honest, vividly poetic and brutally connected to his emotions. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop .... people may say compulsively one dimensional and amongst the hundreds of different artists that I've soaked in in my time, Grieves comes truer than just about anyone I've ever heard. Budo's beats, along with co-production from Grieves, delivers memorable, well-constructed melodies and beats that seem to almost just program themselves right into your head. Buy this album, buy Irreversible, buy 88 Keys and buy Confessions..... you won't be disappointed.

Another Fine Rhymesayers Release

I've been listening to Grieves for a couple years now, and while some may be put off by the sight of a young scrawny white kid making hip-hop, I gotta say that if you like anything Atmosphere does, you'll find a nice spot for this album in your collection. Grieves has an honest and direct approach to his music that anyone who goes through the ups and downs of this thing we call life can relate to. It doesn't hurt that Budo, who provided the musical landscape for Grieves' last album "88 Keys & Counting", returns to lace Grieves with some beautiful & soulful beats. Can't say enough good words about "Together/Apart". Rhymesayers continues to put out quality music.

Thanks to his arts-loving father, he was introduced to the city’s jazz clubs at a young age, but after moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, he had to wait until he turned 19 to land in a city with a more suitable musical climate, Seattle.
