worth a chilled listen

This is a fine album by Move D. It is in the vein of Pop For Dwoozle, but Tonspuren 1-10 is an audio exploration without walls or floors. Move D picks up sounds from the familiar and everyday, but in his usual fashion presents them in jazzy-electronic haze with a beat you sometimes have to groove to. The first three tracks are well done. There is a bottomless quality to the sound of tracks like Hagel In Berlin and Dial-A-Tone which conjures images of the deep end of a pool where you feel safe to dive in head first.

In addition to his solo recordings for Source, Fax, and Compost, Move D's David Moufang has also partnered with Jonas Grossman (as Deep Space Network) and Jonah Sharp (as Reagenz) to produce many of the best explorations of leftfield techno and trip-hop recorded during the '90s.
