Australian Rarities/Outtakes Collection
This 1988 Australian collection(long deleted on CD) features what were(then) previously unreleased tracks recorded 1975-1985, featuring both the original Glenn Shorrock-fronted group, and the later, less commercially successful line-up with the sometimes histrionic/operatic John Farnham. Some of these tracks were later used as bonus tracks on a long-deleted U.S.A. expanded CD series on the "One Way" label. You also get one(apparently previously unreleased) bonus track in this download. Standout tracks include a rendition of The Everly Brothers' "When Will I Be Loved" and a fine(if lyrically cliched) Graham Goble ballad "Please Don't Ask Me", which was recorded at sessions for the 1983 album "The Net" but not used, since it is essentially a John Farnham solo track.
