Album Review
Will Dailey's Torrent is not a traditional album, but rather a combination of two themed EPs. Like Ryan Adams' Love Is Hell, the first half channels the songwriter's love for past rock traditions — in this case, the jangled sounds of '60s pop/rock and '70s singer/songwriter fare — while the second half shifts its focus to more evocative, acoustic fare. Despite the obvious debt to past genres, Torrent often sounds quite contemporary, mixing crisp production with the sort of family-friendly, instantly enjoyable stuff that routinely finds its way onto TV soundtracks. There's no denying Dailey's desire to be commercial, and his partnership with the music branch of CBS ensures that many of these songs will also appear in the network's shows. Nonetheless, there are enough diversions from the mainstream formula to make this an enjoyable listen, from the power pop gallop of "Never Be Your Baby" to Roger McGuinn's tasteful cameo on "Peace of Mind." Songs like "Down the Drain" and "Laugh It Off" may be better points of entry for those who prefer the soulful, Southern-styled songwriting of Gavin DeGraw, but the bulk of Torrent has more to offer. [To cater to his more discerning listeners, Dailey also released Torrent in double-disc format, with the second disc offering the same album in high-fidelity CODE format.]

More Hooks Than A I Know What You Did Last Summer Movie Marathon
Will ha s agreat knack for melody. At least 90% of the songs wedge in your head and have you humming them all day. If I were to draw comparisosn I would say Pete Yorn with touches of Black Crowes. An all round great americana pop rock album. Allston stands out to me as did not liek ti to begin with but then it grew on me and is my favorite. I love songs that grow over time. A big thumbs up!!!!
F in A
I am not usually a fan of this type of music but theres osmething about this guys voice that intrigues me. He has a rather unique way of singing that makes him stand out from the humdrum troubadours that frequent the itunes pages. Voice coupled with songs make for an exciting package and a talent worth watching.
Love it!
With each album (sometiems feel with each song) Dailey gets better and more surprising (and I goodbye red bullet was fantastic.) Torrent Vol. 1 & 2 are his best work as a song writer and recording artist. His voice is the star of the albums too. I can't narrow down favorite songs but I love right now but I do love the bonus tracks and the live tracks showcase the amazing live show that he and the rivals put on!
