Afrocuban Lover
by AfrocubanloverI want to thank Boney for introducing many young smooth jazz fans to one of the originals of this type of jazz, John Klemmer. Boney's version of "Touch" is well done and may lead others to look into this great talent of the past.
Klemmer Should Be Most Flattered.
by Omaha CarlIt looks like I'm a latecomer to this one, and I usually don't post reviews, but I just had to in this case. My 5 Star review is based solely on hearing "TOUCH" on satelite radio, just last night. I caught it just as it started and I chilled all of the way through it.
I am a John Klemmer fan since about 1975 and "TOUCH" is his most identifiable song, to me. Boney James' rendition is wonderful, wonderful and the whole band did great justice to this original, ground-breaking Smooth Jazz song of Klemmer's! Klemmer must be one of Boney's influences, as I'm sure Klemmer has been to so, many others. Even Boney's album cover is a little "Klemmer-ish".
I will now, with no hesitation, buy this whole album of Boney's and Chill, Chill, Chill!
