great live band, good chill-folky-rock mix style - i can't think of a better band to listen to when your outside tossin a few back with your buds. great piano and percussion work and some strong vocals. if you like bands like o.a.r. and dave you'd probably be hip to this, but its not as mainstream sounding and pop-py. i suggest catching a live show if you like what you hear...did i mention they're great live?
VACO rocks
After "discovering" VACO many years ago when they played as one of the opening acts for Sister Hazel in Dallas I bought all of the albums they had on sale at the concert. Townburg hooked me as a full on VACO fan. Great album, with great songs like Lonely Cowboy and Likeness. you cant go wrong.
Awesome Music & lyrics
Very neat music I enjoy the bongo drum it bring a unique fresh sound! Virginia Coalition really reminds me of the Bare Naked Ladies. But the Lead Vocals are stronger. Cant compare Dave Mattews he has poor vocals. Dave just really only talks through his nose thats not singing. I was lucky enough to see them last night at The Pageant in St.louis. Peace? ROCK ON SAYS JOHN !!!!
