Headbangingly Great!
If you're looking for a modern take on old-school Metal (Ozzy-era Sabbath, Motörhead), with a few sprinkles of Queensrÿche, Megadeath, and Blue Öyster Cult thrown in for good measure, then look no further. Deserts of Mars puts everything they have into their official debut album, and they definitely leave the listener wanting more. There's some really great music here: "Send More Gasoline", "Honor Above All", and "Domatomic" are my favorites; all 3 songs are infinitely re-playable and deserve a spot on any Metal lover's iTunes Playlist. The musicianship is first-rate from start to finish. The licks are clean and the band is tight. You can tell these guys have a passion for the genre. Do yourself a favor and check out "Send More Gasoline". If you dig it, grab the rest of the album. Your neck and head will thank you!
