classic...one of the best bands ever

Quite possibly one of the best bands ever to grace the airwaves with classic music such as Dreams, Zombie, Ode to My Family...great collection of their greatest hits and some rarities...do youself a favor, if you've ever enjoyed listening to the Cranberries (or still do), get this album..you won't regret it!

Great Compilation

The Cranberries was one of the best bands of the '90s. I already own virtually everything they've released and the songs included here are great examples of the music the band creates. Unfortuantely, the marketing and selection of singles on their 3rd and 4th albums was off, which undoubtedly cost them spins and sales. As for the 2 reviewers who clearly have never listened to the lyrics of I Just Shot John Lennon, I felt compelled to write this review to offset their impact on the average rating. HInt: writing a review when you "have never heard of" the aritst is probably not going to result in a useful review and is unfair to both the artist and people who read reviews to gain some insight into an album.

For those who can appreciate talent.....

To second everything that people have said so far, the Cranberries are simply incredible; I've been listening since I was little. The Crans have traveled all over the world with thier concerts and ALL of their songs are for anti-war, promotion of music, anti drugs, love, and just having fun with life. The lyrics are all beautiful and while the music has Irish flair, they are universally rocking!! If you dont want to dive right into them with a whole set, definitly get: Dreams, Sunday Pretty, Linger,Zombie, Salvation, Rediculous Thoughts, Hollywood, When You're Gone, Free to Decide, Forever Yellow Skies, I Just Shot John Lennon, Bosnia, Animal Instinct, Promises, You and Me, Just my Immagination, Shattered, and Dying in the Sun. Enjoy the enlightened you after buying thses songs!!
