The Girls Ruin it for Me

Loved the beginning of Swept Away, which was my "trial" purchase, but was very disappointed in hearing a beautiful tune disorted by the girls singing and repeating the same words over and over. Unfortunately, you don't hear them on the sample session. Am very reluctant to purchase any other tunes on this album, and I generally like John Adorney's work. Try a sample piece, as I did, first.

Nothing new but who needs it?

This is classic John Adorney, but that's what I look for and that's what I like from him. He's always got just enough of a twist on his style to keep me interested and entertained. The title song uses vocals as John so often does...as instruments. No words, really, just the sound of the human voice at it's finest. God, he's got such a feeling in all he creates and presents. Another winner to add to my collection of his work.

AH The Beauty Of New Age Music by progM.A.N.

Swept Away was my first listen to Adorney's music & also the same title of the great Yanni song that really started me off with New Age along with the music of Patrick O'Hearn, Ray Lynch, Jonn Serrie & many other great artists. So, in coming full circle & returning to some current decade new age, I read enough about Adorney's music to give it a go for a new age mix I was doing. After reading BonesToo's review on this song, I was even more intrigued as to how the "girls" would be incorporated into the song & to me, it works perfectly as the beautiful female voices keep the song going in the bright direction it was already heading early on. Great melody throughout & sorry, BonesToo, the girls work in the song magnificently but, that's okay....what doesn't work for someone's musical ear......may just work for another.....hey, your review got me to the song & now, I'm ready to explore more of Adorney's music since he seems to be in the right place musically.
