The original members of The Time have finally regrouped, and are sounding better then ever. This time around they don't have the tight control of Prince, but they do an awesome job of capturing the Minneapolis Sound and delivering the FUNK! Eagerly awaiting the album...

Minneapolis funk band the Time reunited in 2008 for the sake of performing at the 50th Grammy Awards ceremony. A handful of gigs followed, which led to recording sessions for the band’s first album since 1990’s Pandemonium. In September 2011, due to Prince’s ownership of their name, the members — Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson, Jellybean Johnson, Monte Moir, and Jerome Benton — renamed themselves the Original 7ven.
