Great Album!!
...but then again everything Brant Bjork puts out is amazing. This one is very low key kinda like Local Angel...well actually even a lil more low keyed, but just as stellar if not more so. The remakes are really good, but the originals are where the juice is. Perfect album for a lazy day. Only thing i wanna say is that the track listing on itunes is messed up....the names are in the right order but the songs don't match up....they're the right mp3 files just in the wrong order....so for anyone buyin the album, here's the order of the songs from itunes....1 Video, 2 The Native Tongue, 3 The Knight Surrenders Today, 4 Chinarosa, 5 Too Many Chiefs, 6 The Right Time, 7 Love Is Revolution, 8 The Messengers.....once you have everything renamed...just put them is the order shown and that's the album.....Load a bowl and enjoy...this album is even worth having to rename everything.
A vibe you can not describe
Alright! This record is very somber. And yet it has very cool mellow vibe. I love Brant's music and have been fortunate enough to see em' live here in St. Louis, Missouri. Not once, but twice. Brant & The Bros have always delivered what was live and on record. This record is great to listen too, while kicking back and drinking some beers on a warm summer evening or cruising with your lady late at night. It may even make you reminisce long days that have come and gone. So, take a deep breathe and enjoy the sounds that won't make you frown. Leeman
