Well Crafted Music
This is a wonderful collection of well crafted music from excellent musicians who knew or were influenced by Steve Goodman. If you wanted to get a good sample of Steve Goodman songs, this is as good a place to start as any. If you are longing for lyrics that tell an honest heart-warming story, there are few better than Goodman who could deliver. Too bad Anonymous had to chime in with one star to wreck this rating average.
Great collection to a great singer/songwriter!
Steve Goodman was one of the best, yet least known, of the the early 70's singer/songwriters. He was also one of the original members of the short-lived but legenday "Freddie and the Fish Sticks,' with Jimmy Buffett, John Prine and Keith Sykes. He wrote great stuff, and everybody recorded him. We lost Steve to cancer, but his words and melodies live on. This tribute album captures a great night in Chicago, when his friends gathered to honor his work, and his life. Go Cubs Go!
