above average nuevo stuff
I only liked 3 or 4 tracks of their first album. Same for their second. It seems like there might be 6-8 on here. I like them when they're danceable.
Excellente
This Buenos Aires group keeps putting out better and better stuff. This is a step beyond the electrotango and old tango sampling that they began with. Working with a couple of orquestra tipicas on this CD, the sound more seamlessly blends the traditional and the new in a way that seems to capture B.A. today perfectly. There isn't a bad or mediocre number here, and it manages to be cohesive without any stale sense of sameness. My favorites are the first three numbers and Junta a la Aurora. Buenissimo!
