Tried and True
So glad that Clay came out with a new CD after being away for a couple of years. I was a fan from the beginning, but lost touch with what he was up to after his last album. This is classic Clay. Smooth, romantic and charismatic. This genre of music suits him well. Love Moon River. I'm definitely reeled back in. Welcome back, Clay! =)
Clay Aiken at his best
Wow, what a great cd. Clay sounds amazing singing these songs. I really wasn't sure I would like Clay singing these covers, however, I was wrong. His voice is made to sing songs like this. I can't explain it, the feeling I got while listening to this cd, Clay's voice, the orchestra, the whole feel of the songs just took me to another place. Just beautiful, I really love it. He hit one out of the ballpark with this cd. I highly recommend it.
This sounds like Clay Aiken did on American Idol 2
I have always loved Clay Aiken's Christmas music and all of the songs that he sang on American Idol. Finally, he has made an album that reminds what I loved about him back on Idol. My favorite songs are Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Mack The Knife, Unchained Melody, It's Impossible, What Kind of Fool Am I? (David Sanborn on saxophone is incredible), Moon River (Vince Gill is wonderful on the guitar) and the bonus song You Don't Have To Say You Love Me. There really isn't a bad song on the album.
