Album Review
The third entry in the irreverent Western saga enlists composer Alessandro Alessandroni, and in defiance of conventional wisdom, Trinity Goes East represents the most engaging and inventive score in the series to date. A quintessential spaghetti Western soundtrack in the grand tradition of Ennio Morricone, it's the rare tribute that actually adds something of substance to the tradition it honors. Employing an arsenal of instruments spanning from flamenco guitar to barroom piano to melancholy trumpet, Alessandroni builds each theme with painterly precision. His melodies are wrought from leather, whiskey, and dust, capturing the essence of the genre with uncommon finesse.
