Album Review
One of the next up-and-comers from the revivalist rock scene in New York City, Dopo Yume showcases a nice pop/rock sound with heavy influences of mod and garage rock. While more pop-oriented than some of their counterparts such as Radio 4 or the Strokes, these five men have created a 12-song album that seemingly has more of a connection with British pop bands from the '80s than anything on this side of the pond. With help from Sean Lennon and Bijou Phillips, amongst others, the songs are laid out, crafted well, and delivered just like most good pop songs should be: with hooks aplenty and a good beat that you can dance to.

Jordan Galland's musical baby, Dopo Yume, is a campy mix of indie pop and garage rock. He was 18 when he founded this funky outfit in 1998, combining the Italian word for "after" (dopo) and the Japanese translation for "dream" (yume). For the next few years.
