Growing up.

This album is definitely better than their other stuff. I like how they are actually trying some new stuff. They are still really young guys and they have a lot to learn, but they are getting there. To anyone who said this is better than August Burns Red……calm down bro. Even ITB would tell you that they are no where close to ABR musically or creatively. ITB has a lot of growing up to do, but I like this album and where they're going.

Welp

A talented band and terrific live performers, I the Breather had a chance to make something incredible with this album, and they *mostly* did it. The same issues from their first album still plague the music in that a lot of the songs are incredibly similar in style and sound. This or the Apocalypse had the same issue with their last record, but here its even more present. I did enjoy what I heard, and I could tell that ITB is trying new things...but there are still so many cliches that they unfortunately fall back on again and again. The breakdown kick/guitar patterns, the tapping sections, the chug-chug buildup to breakdowns, the mid range/groove tempo they stick to for most of the album. If these guys want to pull weight with bands like August Burns Red (whose last album did not sit well with me at all) and The Devil Wears Prada (whose last album, in my opinion, was really good) they need to write more songs like "Meaning" "False Prophet" "Mentalist" and "Lunar", songs that had variety and broke ground...instead of "Bruised and Broken" "Judgement" or "The 'Beginning'".

Killer

This band never disappoints. August Burns Red on steroids!!
