Great intro to Kwaito Hip-Hop!!!
Great film...GREAT soundtrack...Not only does this eclectic mix of tracks bring the culture to life, but there are some crazy good beats on the Zola tracks (check out Seven, Bhambatha, and Mdlwembe)...if you like hip-hop, this is the African version known as Kwaito. Turns out Zola is the Kanye West of Africa (bold statement I know).Also Vusi Mahlasela is like an African Paul Simon (check out stolen legs, and Silang Mabele)...get the soundtrack...see the movie...enjoy!

Kwaito incorporates slowed down house music with lyrics, south african hip hop has some english in it and some of the more traditional Zulu music, all bring the world into touch with new forms of music. the album is upbeat and energetic and at times slightly more melodic and chill.
