He is totally hot but...

I've known who Colton Ford is since before these singing days. He is truely hot. But these songs are just generic dance pop. The hooks are bland, the beats are cheap, and the recordings sound unmastered. I give him props for trying to make a good record though. You can tell that he really tired to make something good here. That's Me is by far the best song on here.

At last... a whole album!

I do agree with a few other reviews that the music isn't nearly as strong as Mr. Ford's voice. I do not however agree that his voice is a common run of the mill kind of quality. People keep talking about his "past" like it matters. Would it matter if he used to run the 100 meter dash or teach MMA? No, it wouldn't this is about music nothing else. Now that there is a whole album, which is cool, it would sure be nice to get this put out all acapella! Hint, hint Mr. Ford... Heck I'd pay double the price to get this album that way. BTW album covers are not what make stars musically important, they are to get people's attention! Mr. Ford has looks, and looks get noticed! I'd love to see his music move into a gender neutral direction with more melody and less dance. With a voice like his I think that would get him serious radio play. If a guy can play it for his girl or a girl for her guy or guy to guy or girl to girl you pretty much have EVERYONE as a target market!

Bland

Okay, so we all have 'seen' Colton Ford and its an interesting switch in careers, but in all honesty the music presented here is . . . well . . . a bland collection of average sounding pop tunes with nothing for the listner to connect with. What happened to music in which the artist is so connected you can feel the passion in their voice and by listening you become a part of their music? You will find none of that here. Colton Ford sounds disconnected artistically, creatively and emotionally from every track on this album. It's a voice going through the motions with no emotions. For that reason I sadly give Tug of War one star.
