The Wait Is Over..
If you are like me and are tired of the same ole rehashed Country-Pop that is on the radio today, than this album is for you. Why you ask? First of all, Deirdre can sing. She has an original and dynamic voice that works well for any tempo song. Deirdre sings ballads with emotion and up-tempo numbers with a growl in her voice. Deirdre sings like she means every word. And, what about those words? The bulk of the cd was written by Bernie Taupin, Yes, that Bernie Taupin, need I say more? Well yes, two of the songs on the cd "Change" and "Take Back That Feeling" were written by Deirdre herself and thay hold their own against the other tracks on the album. Mix in top session players to perform on the cd and you have a winner. So, I like it, you will like it and it won't be long before Deirdre Hughes is known all over the world.
Amazing!!!!
This is by far the most amazing country album that I have heard in years. Deirdre has a rich distinctive voice that I haven't heard from a vocalist since Patsy Cline. The musical performances and arrangements are beyond exceptional. My favorites from the album include, Change, Waitress in a Roadhouse, and In the Name of Dark Angels. I heard this was a collaboration with Bernie Taupin (lyricist to Elton John, i.e. candle in the wind, your song, rocketman, and Willie Nelson's Mendocino county line). I hope to be hearing more from this artist in the near future.

Country has been waiting for an album like this. It is so good to hear an artist with such a distinctive voice. Deirdre's voice paired up with Bernie's lyrics is a grand slam hit! Can't wait to see you on tour!
