music from my childhood
This is the first music I ever remember. I loved it then and I love it now. Its not like all the silly Ray Stevens.
Groundbreaking
Wow! Can't believe you can find this in ITunes! This was a groundbreaking album back in the day. One of the great risks taken by gospel music back in the early 70's. Still sounds fresh and new as it did when I was growing up. Thanks, Apple!
From the Heart of a musical genius
I found this record at a flea market back in the eighties. Always a fan of Southern Gospel and "real" musicians, this quickly became a favorite of mine. Ray does all the voices as well as the instruments on this album. Track 7 is powerful and beautiful and if track 11 don't light your fire, your wood's wet. Listen and enjoy.
