Album Review
A continuous, 71-minute track of psycho-acoustically engineered electronic drones and vocals, Ultimate Om does indeed provide a serene, intensely relaxing backdrop for meditation, relaxation, sleep, and chanting, as well as restful but unobtrusive background music. The album's liner notes feature suggestions for using Ultimate Om in different situations, some history on Om and mantras in general, and some information on how the album was created and on psycho-acoustics and harmonics. Though its simplicity might seem monotonous, it's also what makes Ultimate Om so completely soothing.

Surprisingly addictive
This recording features many voices expressing "om". Given that, one would think it redundant. There are so many voices, it's continuously flowing. You can't hear the beginning or the end of that simple primoridal sound. If you can shut everything else out, you'll be able to get carried into a real good sense of stillness with this recording. I can fall-and stay-asleep with this on. There are faint hauntings of other mantras as well. They're faint and only enhance the experience.

Wonderful for meditation practice, deep relaxation and healing.
Phenominal
I own most of Jonathan Goldman's works and don't know how I missed having this for so long. As mentioned it isn't repetitive at all. The overlapping tones and how they trigger the different senses is just phenomenal. A must have for meditation.
