Fantastic Album
I have absolutely worn this album out. If you like a funky good time then buy this. Oh and if you have the opportunity to see Uncle Bruno live, do not, I repeat DO NOT pass it up. These guys rock!
Biased?
Maybe I'm a little biased seeing as the trombonist, Allen Sanders, was one of my high school band directors, but I LOVE this album. They combine old world funk with New Orleans jazz to create a unique sound that can only be created here in Austin, Texas....The Live Music Capital of the World. They've written a few new songs since this album came out and I look forward to hearing them soon. If you are ever in Austin, check UncleBruno.com to see if they're playing while you're here...better yet, plan a trip to Austin when they have a gig. Most of the gigs are at the One-2-One Bar at 5th and Brazos downtown. Please come out and see this awesome band with a unique sound.
These boys TEAR IT UP!!
A tremendous album by an amazingly talented group of guys. As much music as I have on my ipod and I'm pretty much listening to Unca Bruno nonstop. They flat out GET IT!! You won't go wrong with this album and you for DURN SURE won't go wrong seein' Uncle Bruno live. I don't care if you're in Nome, Alaska, it's worth the drive just to catch their cover of Led Zep's "Nobody's Fault but Mine." Phenomenal.
