Fear of quiet
It's interesting to listen to these EP tracks...Because I work in television I had the opportunity to listen to about a dozen new demos from Josh Radin all done in an absolutely uncompromising acoustic style. They were breathtaking in their emotion, tone, melody and lyricism. The song "The Fear You Won't Fall" best represents what I heard on these demos. Here on this EP sampling "Sky" is "produced" and filled out with assundry multiple tracks which I feel steals the thunder of the song and makes it sound like any number of other artists out there right now. The same with "Lovely Tonight" which I heard in breathtaking beauty on the demo, here again over "produced" and robbed of its power. While the Radin Demos for these songs may someday see the light of day, this is still a good primer for the beauty of his singer-songwriting style.
great preview for summer album -- (and awesome female vocals!)
This is an awesome preview to Joshua’s new album coming out this summer. The variety in the selection of songs flows very well, and gives this EP a complete feeling, even if it is only a teaser to the full-length album. I feel that the mix of backup and accompanying female vocals strengthen the songs even more than Joshua’s already-perfect solo voice. The duet with Ingrid Michaelson – "Sky" – is phenomenal, as well as all the other songs on this EP, (including backup vocals from Catherine Feeny – “Lovely Night” and Priscilla Ahn – The Fear You Won’t Fall”) So, I definitely recommend this EP to everyone out there looking for a great playlist of tunes. After the first listen through, you will definitely be left wanting more.

This EP is fantastic. I promise that you will love this album.
