Fun, upbeat & extraordinary

I honestly have to say that this cd has exceeded expectations. A mix of original and fanastic cover songs. Something for anyone who likes music with a great beat. Key songs: "Perfect Day", "Feels Like Love", "Your Loving Arms" and "To Deserve You". Although I can say that all were as equally enjoyable. Look forward to hearing more music from Michal Nicholas.

Really?

Michal clearly has great taste in music. The majority of these songs are covers. (if not all of them). I am huge fan of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" as well as Pat Benatar's "Love is a Battlefield". But unless you plan to buy these tracks for the purpose of spinning them at a gay discoteque, there really isn't much here. I am a little confused why he would even cover Billie Ray Martins "Your Loving Arms", since the original already was a massive club hit. I mean.. you can't rival that. His version pales in comparison.

His voice is generic, lacks any passion. But the music doesn't even save it - because if you removed the vocals from these songs, there would be no distinguishing which song you were listening to, so similar is each track.
If all you are looking for is some beats to jog to on a treadmill, and you enjoy looking at a sexy pic on the album art, go ahead and buy this.
Otherwise, I would recommend searching out the original versions. The original version of "Perfect Day" (which was featured in the film Trainspotting) by Lou Reed is a great song, but not danceable. I still recommend it though.
If you are looking for great beats to jam to on while working out, I HIGHLY recommend discovering Juno Reactor, Deep Forest, or early Moby if you want something without vocals, otherwise Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Kylie, Gaga, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Donna Summer are all you really need.

Nice Job

To Deserve You is the best track on here IMO- well done- the cd is not disapointing and is a great cd for the car or dancefloor!
