Customer Reviews
Great pop-electro from Ugress
Ugress brings back the melodic and colourful sounds from Resound, but with much harder and stronger beats. The previous funky grooves are upgraded to pulsing guitars and bubbling synths, and the vocal tracks sound tougher and firmer than before. However I think the strongest track is the Zombie Eagles instrumental, very catchy bass-line and deadly beats. The album ends with a completely different track from the rest, epic Regression 22. I think Unicorn is a better mix of film elements, samples and electronica than the previous film-centric album Cinematronics, more like a modernized version of Resound.
Electro-cinematic persuasion...
