Good stuff
I can't wait to buy this. It's all around great album :)
Solid!
One of the best records of the year! Stellar production, cutting-edge songwriting and phenomenal vocal performances. If you are a fan of R&B and Soul Music, you can not pass this one up.
Dear Neo-Soul fans - A MUST HAVE
Off the bat, I confess: I'm in love with this album and cannot give it up. It addicts the ear through its honesty and vulnerability, its strength and sweetness.
This woman is beyond talented... She forces you to stand up and pay attention to her - her craft is truly what is missing in many of today's contemporary R&B artists. She's not scripted, she just wings it and draws you in. She scats, riffs and shrieks Long story short, she is a phenomenal vocal talent who doesn't imitate, but makes an impression that's uniquely her own.
Now to the album itself... The CD opens with a declaration of INSPIRATION! My personal favs are Electricity, Love's Galaxy, Rise Above, Joyful Rain, Flowers & Candy, Struggle Reprise, and Dream Flight.... I could go on and on, but this album is best heard as opposed to being read about. BUY IT!
