And John McVey is Back... Brilliant!
John McVey has the most amazing voice and ability to get listeners to truly experience music and emotion through his songs. Not only does John have the most sexy and soulful voice, his skill on the guitar is unmatched. I can listen to him all day. Brilliant songwriter and musician. "All I Want is a Little More Time with You!" :) John has certainly "Left a Little Mark" in this world and it's "Just Like Heaven" to have this new album. Love every song on the album!
Unpedictable....you bet!
Well I am still giving this a listen, but I could listen to John McVey sing the phone book!! Oh, how I have missed this voice for the past 10 years! A new CD from John was "Unpredictable" for sure, but long overdue and a great treat for my ears!! I love this CD and can't wait to get it onto my iPod for easy access listening, as no doubt I will want this one close by at all times.
Unpredictable
I have always been a huge John McVey and this album only takes that "fandom" to new heights. From the incredible title track in Unpredictable to the treasure found in Just Like Heaven I have just begun to make this new album one of my favorites.
Once upon a time a cool, rugged looking guy named John introduced himself to my wife and I when he and my music producer brother crashed our condo one evening looking for food and a break from the studio. Cool-John parked himself on the kitchen floor and with rubber bands and a broken pencil proceeded to piece together a thrift-shop guitar we had lying around. In no time John had us all mesmerized and begging for more! John's voice is liquid gold and combined with his guitar he creates pure magic!
Unpredictable is a continuation of that magic and provides a balanced look at his style. Too Small A Word is a classic with a fantastic piano backing.
